Features of the EnterpriseConnect - eMON

EnterpriseConnect – eMON includes the following functions:

	Monitoring the “health” status of SAMS and any connected end-points registered for the monitoring services;
	Providing tools for the connected end-points to voluntarily report their “health” and related status;
	Keeping centralized records of the reported events;
	Analyzing the reported events and taking appropriate actions as required;
	Generating alarm in different priorities and notifying operational staff through pre-defined means;
	Accumulating performance and reliability related data for the generation of management reports;
	Client devices (referred to the System Management Consoles) are connected to eMON for the monitoring and management of the EnterpriseConnect suite of software. The following are some of the privileged functions that can be performed through these consoles:

		System status enquiries;
		System status changes (e.g. bring up or gracefully shut down a system component);
		System workload monitoring;
		Viewing of the performance and behavior of various system components;
		Inventory check on the system;
		Tracking and analysis of an event or group of events;
		Generation of reports based on the collected events.
